My Story
As a neurodivergent individual myself I understand the struggles that people face in a classroom setting and out completing tasks in everyday life. As a child undiagnosed I felt the anxiety and pressures of the classroom and sometimes the simplest task would make me feel sick and send me into a panic attack. I can remember my high school English teacher telling me in Year 12 not to go to university as I would just be wasting everyone’s time and that I wouldn’t make it. I have now completed two degrees and almost my master’s and I believe that if my English teacher hadn’t of told me that, I wouldn’t have fought so hard to achieve. My last degree that of a teacher I saw children in my classes that reminded me of myself. I dived into research and professional developments in my own time to try to help these students. That led me to the therapies that my team and I deliver now to our clients. Everyone can learn, we just need to identify the barriers and pull them down so they too can achieve success
