At Giant Oak Learning, we utilise the Learnersaurus program as our primary intervention for clients with dyslexia. The process begins with a comprehensive dyslexia screener, which allows our therapists to identify specific areas of strength and difficulty in reading, spelling, and related skills. This initial assessment is essential for tailoring our intervention to each client’s unique needs and ensuring that support is targeted and effective from the outset.
Following the screener, our team prepares a detailed report outlining the findings. This report highlights the client’s learning profile, pinpoints the areas where additional support is required, and provides clear recommendations for next steps. Our reports are designed to be easy to understand for both families and educators, ensuring that everyone involved in the client’s learning journey is informed and empowered to support their progress.
To further advocate for our clients, we also provide a formal letter addressed to the school. This letter includes specialised classroom accommodations and strategies that can be implemented to support the client’s learning and participation. By working collaboratively with families and schools, and utilising evidence-based interventions like Learnersaurus, Giant Oak Learning is committed to helping every learner achieve their academic potential.
